22nd NATIONAL KAZOO DAY, January 28th, 2005 --
©2005
from Barbara Stewart
Author of How To Kazoo, as well as Kazoo Keeper of Kazoophony™ (According to the Wall Street Journal, "the world’s premiere kazoo quartet")
As always, National Kazoo Day is celebrated on or about the last Thursday in January -- or some other time at the convenience of the kazooist. This year as usual, it seems to be around Jan. 28.
Once again I have been asked to deliver the yearly inspirational message, as I have done nearly annually (except years when I forgot) ever since Chaplain Rahn and the Joyful Noise Kazoo Band originated National Kazoo Day in 1983 or so.
NATIONAL KAZOO DAY MESSAGE - RED & BLUE KAZOO CAMPAIGN ALERT!
On this day, ignore any critics with tin ears and continue to keep America humming. 2005 promises to be a banner year for Kazooists, and announcements of a new major Kazoo Book and a thrilling Major National Tour will be forthcoming, nearly as soon as possible.
(Watch for the announcement on this site.) Hooray for the red and blue kazoos – with other colors welcome!KAZOOPHONY RIDES AGAIN!
It looks as if Kazoophony – the world’s largest (five-member) kazoo quartet will be revived in all its glory. (The usual number for kazoo quartet is 7, so we are only missing 2 people.)
